Mark Cutler
Owner/President
Mark founded Cutler Building & Remodeling, Inc. in 2001. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1991 with a B.A. in Construction Management. He has over 32 years of experience in the construction industry and has extensive knowledge in all phases of construction from finish carpentry to production management. Mark has partnered with top architects and home designers to work along with our customers to provide high quality projects that match customer’s budgets. Mark leads an amazing team of dedicated employees who partner with our customers to bring their dreams to life.
Mark is a licensed MA Construction Supervisors License (CSL), a licensed MA Home Improvement Contractors License (HIC) and a Certified Green Builder, a member or BRAGB and Remodelers Advantage.
Elizabeth Cutler
Director of Finance
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.S. in International Business. She has worked for the company since its founding. Elizabeth manages accounting, payroll and human resources administration.
Melissa Orff
General Manager
Melissa joined our team in 2019 and has quickly become an integral part of the executive team. She graduated from Providence College with a degree in Marketing and brings years of experience in both residential and commercial construction to our company. Melissa oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, manages the operations staff and helps to guide our customers through the construction process to ensure that our core values are upheld at all times. Additional responsibilities include marketing/advertising, sales, production integration, financial analysis, and project management, but her #1 priority is customer satisfaction from the first phone call to the close-out of a project.
Moises Mendes
Lead Designer
Moises joined our team in January of 2023 as a Construction Estimator. He graduated from University of Uberaba-MG (Brazil), with a Construction Management Degree from Columbia University. He brings extensive knowledge in design, architecture, planning, finance, and project management. Along with developing estimates for our customers, Moises handles all of the design work for the company, drawing plans, layouts, and structure in the Chief Architect software. Moises has a keen eye for detail and works with customers to design their dream space.
Robert Peterman
Construction Estimator
Joining the team in February 2024, Robert is an experienced Construction Estimator with a strong background in Project Management and Operations Management across civil, commercial, and residential projects. Driven by a passion for customer satisfaction, Robert focuses on project controls, accuracy, and delivering innovative solutions. As an Estimator, he plays a key role in ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively, helping to bring each project to completion with precision and value for the customer.
J. Ferris
Project Manager
Jason joined our team in 2020 as a Project Manager. He brings over 20 years’ experience in construction and project management. He manages the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. Jason is responsible for managing schedules, the workmanship or our subcontractors, ordering job materials, and coordinating inspections. Over his career, Jason has worked on projects ranging from small home improvement projects to large custom new builds. He communicates effectively with our customers to ensure they know exactly where we are with their project and values the relationships he develops.
Susan Sullivan
Selections Coordinator
Susan attended University of New Hampshire with a degree in Business Administration. She joined our team in 2022 as a Selections Coordinator. Susan will work directly with our customers prior to the start of the project to assist them with selections. She is the liaison between the production team, subcontractors, and the suppliers. Susan will order and coordinate delivery of all selection items to the project site. Susan helps take the stress our of customer selections and makes the whole process truly enjoyable for them.
Jamie Fernandes
Project Administrator
Jamie graduated from Green Mountain College with a degree in Leisure Resource Facilities Management. As our project administrator, Jamie is responsible for key components of a project including permits, orders, deliveries, and invoicing. Jamie keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently so that the operations and production staff can concentrate on providing a superior product to our customers.
Maxx DiRienzo
Assistant Project Manager
Max joined our team in 2023 as an Assistant Project Manager. He attended UMass Darthmouth where he received his degree in Finance/Business. He brings 5 years of experience in residential construction. Maxx’s responsibilities include site supervision, scheduling subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, in a timely manner and according to specification and code. Maxx works hard to make sure our customers updated on the project and is always available for any questions they may have.
Marco Silva
Lead Carpenter
Marco officially joined our team in 2022 as our Lead Carpenter, but prior to that he worked for Cutler Building as a subcontractor for many years. He brings 20+ years’ experience in the construction industry, including finish carpentry, crew management, and site safety regulations. Marco is responsible for Job-site preparation and cleaning, demolition, light carpentry, and crew management. Marco is excellent at figuring out complicated technical design details and is always happy to help when needed.
Paulo Silva
Carpenter
Paulo joined our team in 2023 as a Carpenter. He has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. He brings his wide range of construction knowledge to our work sites where he is responsible for Job-site preparation and cleaning, light carpentry and demolition. Paulo always has a smile on his face and a friendly word for our customers.
